Although the BHBH Program team is unable to provide individual assistance with access to housing or services, we recommend the resources below.

In the case of a medical, psychiatric, or other crisis, go to the nearest emergency department, call 911, or dial 988 from any phone for the 988 National Lifeline.

Housing

The California Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency (BCSHA) website lists Continuums of Care, which coordinate shelter and housing resources supported by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Mental Health

The California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) website links to each County Mental Health Plan, which is responsible for providing specialty mental health services to Medi-Cal beneficiaries.

Substance Use

The DHCS website lists Substance Use Disorder County Access Lines, many of which are open 24/7.

Medi-Cal

The DHCS website explains how to apply for Medi-Cal health coverage.

Behavioral Health

The DHCS website provides links to family support resources and substance use disorder (SUD) treatment options.
